Product Description

Product Description

The VCI emitter plastic tabs’ small, thin shape makes Plastabs® perfect for protecting critical surfaces within narrow or hard-to-reach areas of electronics or parts of equipment or as a supplement to other ZERUST® VCI packaging products for added protection. Moreover, ZERUST® Plastabs® are easy to use, as they can be dispersed throughout bulk packages of metal parts and tightly seal the packaging or enclosure to trap the protective vapors inside. Additionally, the .75” x .75” size has an optional peel-adhesive backing that can be affixed to most surfaces.

Plastabs® diffuse invisible, odorless, and non-toxic ZERUST® VCI molecules that settle onto exposed metal surfaces inside the packaging or enclosure. Once removed from the packaging or enclosure, the VCI will dissipate from the metal surfaces, allowing immediate painting, welding, or further processing. Furthermore, Plastabs® protects ferrous metals for up to 2 years in a sealed enclosure. Additionally, the VCI emitter plastic tabs provide limited aluminum and yellow metal protection when used as instructed. However, do not place Plastabs® in direct contact with aluminum, copper, brass, or zinc, and test before use.
