ZERUST® VCI Music String Envelope Packaging

ZERUST® VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) envelopes provide cost-effective and versatile protection against corrosion damage for music strings in shipping, storage, and point-of-sale. Additionally, VCI music string envelopes are available in almost any color paper or poly and may be imprinted.

ZERUST® VCI poly film and paper envelopes diffuse proprietary ZERUST® VCIs (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitors) to protect metals from corrosion. As a result, ZERUST® anti-corrosion packaging for guitar strings and other music strings is safe, easy to use, and protected items are ready for use as soon as they are removed from the packaging.

VCI Music String Envelopes

VCIs are molecules that inhibit corrosion by forming a thin, protective layer on a metal surface within an enclosed space. Additionally, this invisible layer prevents moisture and environmental elements from reacting with the metal surface and causing corrosion. In conclusion, the molecules dissipate when the enclosure is opened and do not need to be removed.
