ZERUST® OPS Preservation Tape
OPS Preservation Tape is designed to be used with ZERUST®/EXCOR® OPS Outdoor Preservation Shrink Film to provide advanced protection to metals.
ZERUST® Inhibitor Fusion (ZIF) Tape
ZERUST® Inhibitor Fusion (ZIF) tape is high-temperature self-fusing silicone tape that delivers corrosion inhibitors to the surface of pipe lengths under insulation.
What’s the difference between anti-corrosion tape and preservation tape?
ZERUST® ZIF is a corrosion-inhibiting tape as it features ZERUST’s proven corrosion protection, and when it’s wrapped over a pipe, existing coating, or before the installation of the thermal insulation, the inhibitors mitigate corrosion caused by condensation and high-temperature flashing. In addition, when moisture evaporates as the pipeline temperatures rise, the inhibitor is released to be redeposited under the silicone tape and in contact with the pipeline, where it is dormant until the temperatures drop and moisture re-condenses.
ZERUST® OPS Preservation Tape does not feature ZERUST® corrosion inhibitors but is instead designed to be used with ZERUST®/EXCOR® OPS Outdoor Shrink Film for sealing and reinforcing seams, creating a strong bond with the film.
