ZERUST® AxxaVis™ WBA-10
ZERUST®/EXCOR® AxxaVis™ WBA-10 is a water-soluble additive that treats process water in wet blasting, wet vapor blasting, vapor honing, and other water-based surface preparation processes. This specialized wet blasting additive deactivates corrosive ionic contaminants commonly found in tap water and recycled process water that can contribute to flash rust, corrosion, hard water deposits, and surface staining on ferrous metals during and after blasting operations.

Product Description
When added to blasting slurry water, AxxaVis™ WBA-10 helps maintain clean, corrosion-protected metal surfaces throughout the wet blasting process and during short-term post-process handling. This wet vapor blasting additive is particularly effective at reducing flash rust. Flash rust can form immediately after cleaning when freshly exposed metal surfaces come into contact with moisture and oxygen. Furthermore, by neutralizing corrosive contaminants and water hardness, AxxaVis™ WBA-10 improves the performance of wet vapor blasting and vapor honing operations. It also helps operators achieve more consistent cleaning results.
Use AxxaVis™ WBA-10 on ferrous metals only, as it is not compatible with aluminum. Additionally, for applications involving copper, brass, or other metal alloys containing red/yellow metals, combine AxxaVis™ WBA-10 with ZERUST®/EXCOR® Axxatec™ HST-M100 additive. AxxaVis™ WBA-10 is water-soluble, solvent-free, and non-flammable. Users can often analyze and reuse the working solution, helping reduce operating costs and water consumption.
