Zerust® Z-Maxx is an oil-based, heavy-duty, corrosion preventive and lubricant
grease that is tenacious and hydrophobic. It protects metal parts for one year
outdoors and up to two years under shelter.
Use Zerust® Z-Maxx to protect industrial machinery, military equipment, wheel
bearings, journal bearings, construction and forestry equipment, electric motors
and more during long-term storage or use. Zerust® Z-Maxx leaves a clear film
on the surface of the metal and has very little odor.
Zerust® Z-Maxx is designed to replace and outperform most petroleumbased
corrosion inhibiting products, including the widely known Cosmoline
and similar materials. Zerust® Z-Maxx is easier to apply and remove - saving
considerable labor and maintenance costs. Z-Maxx also provides significant
lubrication properties in wide temperature range applications such as
automotive, industrial and agricultural wheel bearing applications.
APPLICATION EXAMPLES
ZERUST® Z-MAXX BEING APPLIED TO AN ENGINE FOR LONG-TERM CORROSION PROTECTION DURING STORAGE.
CORROSION PROTECTION FOR :
Directions for use:
1.
Make sure parts are clean and dry.
2.
Wear gloves when handling parts to avoid corrosion causing fingerprints.
3.
Make sure the part temperature is equal to the ambient temperature when coating.
4.
Brush room temperature Z-Maxx onto parts or dip parts in warmed Z-Maxx and remove any excess material. (Ease of application can be enhanced by adding mineral spirits to Zerust® Z-Maxx.)
5.
Use or store parts in protected storage for up to 2 years or outdoors for 9-12 months.
Removal:
Zerust® Z-Maxx can be easily removed by using any commercially available solvent and/or alkaline cleaner. Always check with your customer to see if removal of Z-Maxx is required prior to the use of the protected parts.
