Protect metal parts from corrosion and from damage in shipping with one product. Zerust® Plastic Scrim is a woven, high strength, tear resistant, and durable polyethylene fabric.
Zerust® Plastic Scrim contains proprietary chemical formulations that release an invisible, odorless, non-toxic rust and corrosion inhibiting vapor into the air. The Zerust® vapor molecules will settle on exposed metal surfaces in an enclosure and protect them from rust and corrosion for up to 5 years. It also has a long outdoor life expectancy and generally can be reused time and again under harsh conditions.
Zerust® Plastic Scrim is great for use in interleaving where strength and tear resistance is important. Use Zerust® Plastic Scrim to provide corrosion protection where stacking parts, in shelving units as a liner, or when transporting multiple parts together. Also used for wrapping and protecting large, heavy objects—steel coils, lathes, molds.
All Zerust® corrosion inhibiting products are environmentally friendly, non-toxic, odorless, and non-allergenic. Zerust® Plastic Scrim does not interfere with the properties or functionality of the items being protected.
APPLICATION EXAMPLES
Simply layer Zerust® Plastic Scrim in-between metal parts and store or ship the items. Be sure that Zerust® Plastic Scrim is in use inside of an enclosed environment that restricts airflow (inside of a closed box during shipment, or a closed storage cabinet or room).

Important Information
Metal objects will be protected for up to 5 years as long as they remain inside of an enclosure created by the Zerust® Plastic Scrim. Do not store this material in direct sunlight.
Things to remember when using Zerust products:
Pack only clean and dry parts.
Wear gloves to avoid leaving acidic, corrosion causing fingerprints.
When packing metal parts, the ambient temperature and the part temperature should be the same to prevent condensation from forming inside of the enclosure.
Make sure to enclosure is tightly sealed to restrict airflow.
Insert additional Zerust® packaging materials with Zerust® Plastic Scrim to ensure maximum corrosion protection throughout. Zerust® products to use in addition to Plastic Scrim (where applicable): Zerust® Vapor Capsules, Zerust® Cardboard, Zerust® Bags or Zerust® Films.
Avoid the contact of metal parts with Non-Zerust® treated wood, paper, or cardboard as these materials contain corrosion causing acids.
