  • AVAILABILITY
    • Sold individually bagged in cases of 10, 50, 100, and multiples of 100.
  • PROTECTION TYPE

    • Ferrous metal protection. Do not place in direct contact with copper or brass and test before use.
  • PROTECTION LIFE
    • Will protect metals for 2 years when positioned properly in an enclosure to maximize the protection life.
  • SHELF LIFE
    • Shelf life of 2 years when stored out of direct sunlight, and in original packaging. Store at 85° F/30° C or less. Product will expand at high temperatures.
  • HEALTH AND SAFETY
    • Active product may have an unpleasant, but non-toxic odor that will dissipate over time when in contact with air.
  • DISPOSAL
    • Comply with all applicable local, state, or international regulations concerning solid or hazardous waste disposal and/or container disposal.
  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION
    • Do not install where packet will be submerged in water.

Fast-Acting Corrosion Protection

Zerust® ActivPak® packets are easy-to-use diffusers that provide targeted corrosion protection. They work in minutes to prevent flash corrosion on bare metal surfaces in an enclosed space. ActivPak packets provide long-term corrosion protection for ferrous metals and are compatible with aluminum. 

Surface Passivation Effective Against Contaminants

Use the ActivPak to reduce corrosion incidences when manufacturing processes are not in full control or there are concerns about machine wash fluid quality. The packets stop flash rust and reduce corrosion incidences even on lightly contaminated parts and in acid gas environments. ActivPak inhibitors passivate the metal surface and form an invisible shield that provides powerful corrosion protection for two years.

Residue-Free Protection

The protective layer formed by the Zerust ActivPak dissipates outside of an enclosure and does not need to be removed prior to welding or painting.

WARNING: Do not place in direct contact with copper, brass or bronze (yellow metals). Do not use ActivPak 35 in enclosures that contain yellow metals if the free-space air volume is LESS than 25.5 ft³ or 0.85 m³.

HOW TO USE ZERUST DIFFUSERS IN SHIPMENT AND STORAGE

  1. Determine the correct number of ActivPaks needed to protect intended space.
  2. Remove from plastic packaging, but do not puncture product sachet. Note that punctured sachets may result in a dust hazard.
  3. Distribute packets evenly throughout the enclosure. Do not place in direct contact with yellow metals.
  4. For the packet to be effective, restricted airflow to the enclosure.
